Data lifecycle

Retention and storage are plan-based so economics stay predictable.

Metadata retention

Developer defaults to 14 days; Pro and Team retain longer. Enterprise is custom.

Trace retention

Trace spans are retained separately from request metadata and can be shorter for builder plans.

Payload retention

Default storage is none, redacted, or configurable by plan. Raw full payload storage is never an accidental default.

R2 archive

Phoenix archive moves cold logs and artifacts to R2 where configured.

Deletion/TTL behavior

Cleanup services should delete metadata and trace rows older than the active plan limit; cron wiring is environment-specific.

Plan-based storage modes

Developer: redacted/no raw by default. Pro/Team: configurable. Enterprise: full optional with review.
